2. Boston Celtics

The Celtics have already been linked with Anthony, especially since Danilo Gallinari went down with a meniscus injury. Anthony can check a lot of the same boxes as Gallinari — a frontcourt floor spacer who offers some secondary creation ability with the ball in his hands and the potential to exploit second-unit mismatches. In addition to his post-up prowess, Anthony was above average in scoring efficiency in isolations and shot 47.1 percent on pull-up jumpers inside the arc.

The Celtics have a wealth of secondary offensive weapons around Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown and Anthony would slot in nicely if he can keep the ball moving and help his lineups bend towards their versatility. The Celtics’ offense really took off last season when they began shaving down their isolations and became more flexible with their attack. That role is probably a better fit for Gallinari but Anthony can help while they’re waiting for him to return.
