With the Georgia taking a commanding 28-3 lead at halftime over Oregon, Bulldogs fans took to Twitter to troll the Ducks.

On Saturday, Sept. 3, college football fans had a full day of games that they could watch, and there were some big matchups on the schedule. One of them being the defending National champion Georgia Bulldogs taking on the Oregon Ducks at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.

The Ducks were ranked the No. 11 team in the nation, surely they would put up a fight against Georgia, right? Well in the first half, it was all Bulldogs, as they entered the locker rooms at halftime with a 28-3 lead.

Bulldogs fans were relishing in the early lead (despite it being synonymous for an epic Georgia sports collapse), and decided to troll Oregon on Twitter. Noot just Georgia fans, but college fans as a whole.

Oregon did have a good knowledge of what was coming, considering head coach Dan Lanning was the former defensive coordinator for the Bulldogs. Yet, the momentum was decisively in the corner of Georgia.

Georgia quarterback Stetson Bennett IV was nearly perfect in the passing game in the first half, as he completed 18-of-21 of his attempts for 254 yards and two touchdowns. Perhaps his most impressive play was his scramble to avoid Oregon’s defenders and found wide receiver Ladd McConkey alone in the end zone for a touchdown to take the 28-3 lead.

Meanwhile, Bo Nix made his debut for the Ducks, and it was not great in the opening half. The former Auburn quarterback completed 16-of-24 pass attempts for 142 yards, but threw two interceptions.

The Bulldogs made a statement in the very first half of their season — they fully expect to run it back as CFP National champions.
