Broadcaster Robert Griffin III had viewers doing a double take because of the way he described a Michigan football touchdown against Colorado State.

Announcers need to find all sorts of ways to describe the action on a football field.

Sometimes, they get a little too creative for their own good.

Robert Griffin III toed the line on Saturday while calling Michigan’s game against Colorado State with what sounded like Not-Safe-For-Work analysis.

Freshman quarterback Alex Orji scored a four-yard rush to cap Michigan’s 51-7 victory. So RG3 decided to make a play on his name.

“And what do you know guys, it’s an Orji in the endzone,” RG3 said.

Whether viewers were aware the running back’s name was Orji or not, that one had people doing a double-take and rushing to Twitter to talk about the moment.

It was low-hanging fruit that Griffin clearly couldn’t pass up, even though, let’s be honest, he really should have.

Now we can all look forward to cringing at Orji jokes for the remainder of his college football career.

Michigan’s performance started out somewhat cringe as the Wolverines took their time getting into the groove against heavy underdogs. They led 13-0 halfway through the second quarter but finally started to pull away and pretty much closed the door with a third-quarter scoop and score.

That freed up highly touted freshman quarterback J.J. McCarthy to see some action and impress fans with his running ability on a 20-yard touchdown.

The Wolverines took care of business in Week 1 while adding intrigue to the quarterback battle between McCarthy and returning starter Cade McNamara.
