Eagles fans roast Cowboys latest roster move on Twitter
By Josh Wilson
The Dallas Cowboys signed former Philadelphia Eagles tackle Jason Peters, and Eagles fans were quick to roast the move on Twitter.
Oh gosh, we knew this moment would come. Philadelphia Eagles fans were probably chomping at the bit to see what Jerry Jones and the Dallas Cowboys would do to fill the gap left by a Tyron Smith injury at left tackle, and after dragging their feet and avoiding the good available options, the Cowboys finally filled the hole with an aged veteran tackle.
To make it even worse for the wrath from Eagles fans, the player they signed is a former Eagle, Jason Peters.
Upon the official news of the signing, Eagles fans came out and roasted the Cowboys:

Some fans called this a win for the Eagles, assuming they’ll get to match their defense up against him:
Let’s not forget his custom truck to commemorate the Eagles Super Bowl LII win that, if he still has it, will be a bit awkward now:
Other fans are disgusted to see a long-time Eagle playing for another team in the NFC East:
It’s more than just fans that are weirded out by the sight. An Eagles tackle is shocked to see him in Cowboys colors:
The truth on Peters is probably somewhere between what Eagles fans say and what Cowboys fans hope. Peters scored high marks with Pro Football Focus last year and played in 15 of 17 games with the Chicago Bears. Peters is starting on the practice squad and the Cowboys have been vocal about wanting to put their young players in the fold on the line, so he may end up being nothing more than a mentor figure for Dallas anyway.
Finally, let’s remember this moment from Peters:
Interesting to see him in Dallas, for sure.
