App State fans were euphoric after upsetting Texas A&M, taking to the streets of Boone to celebrate the victory in style.

Appalachian State has pulled off the impossible before. So of course they did it again this Saturday, besting No. 6 Texas A&M on the road.

The Mountaineers took advantage of an ineffective Aggie offense to grab the lead in the fourth quarter then held on for the victory.

How did fans celebrate? They took to the streets.

There’s nothing quite like the unmatched joy of an upset driving you to gather with fellow fans for revelry in the streets.

The Mountaineers deserved nothing less. Despite fielding a roster significantly outmatched in terms of star power, App State went toe-to-toe with the Aggies and bested them.

Ahmani Marshall punched in the first touchdown of the game in the second quarter before Devon Achane broke free for a 26-yard run to tie things up.

Henry Pearson found Chase Brice from nine yards out in the third quarter but Achane struck back by returning the ensuing kickoff 95 yards for a touchdown.

The fourth quarter is when things got real. App State went on an incredible 18-play, 63-yard, nine-minute ending in a 29-yard field goal.

With just over eight minutes remaining in the game, they made sure Texas A&M had no answer. The Aggies missed their game-tying field goal attempt and the Mountaineers were able to run out the clock and wrap up their upset win.

Best of all, App State got $1.5 million to come to College Station. They left with the money and the victory.
