Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jalen Reagor wants revenge against the Philadelphia Eagles, the team that drafted him in 2020 and traded him in 2022.

Just prior to the start of the 2022 NFL regular-season, the Philadelphia Eagles made a trade. The team traded wide receiver Jalen Reagor, their 2020 first-round pick, to the Minnesota Vikings in exchange for a 2023 seventh-round pick and a conditional 2024 fourth-round draft pick. It is well known that Reagor did not work out with the Eagles through his first two years in the league.

The NFL, coincidentally enough, scheduled the Eagles and Vikings to face off in Week 2 on Monday Night Football, albeit not knowing that a Reagor trade would happen between the two teams. Ahead of the game, Reagor did not deny that he has some revenge on his mind when playing his former team.

In the 2020 NFL Draft, the Eagles and the Vikings were in the market for a wide receiver, and the class was notably deep. But it was Philadelphia who had their choice between Reagor out of TCU and Justin Jefferson out of LSU when they were on the clock with the No. 21 pick. The Eagles selected Reagor, and the Vikings took Jefferson in the following pick.

Reagor did not pan out like the team had expected. For his rookie year, Reagor played in 11 games, catching 31-of-54 targets for 396 yards and one touchdown. Last season, Reagor played in all 17 games, logging 33 receptions for 299 yards and one touchdown. Out of his incompletions in 2021, Reagor dropped four of them, per Pro Football Reference.

Now, Reagor is teammates with Jefferson.

In Minnesota’s season opening win over the Green Bay Packers, Reagor was not a factor in the passing attack. He did, however return one punt for seven yards. Meanwhile, Jefferson caught nine passes for 184 yards and two touchdowns.

The Eagles started off their 2022 campaign with a 38-35 win over the Detroit Lions.

It will be interesting to see how Reagor performs against the team that traded him two years after drafting him in the first-round.
