NFL worst calls: The punch no one saw
The entire NFL landscape had something to saw about the Mike Evans-Marshon Lattimore fight. Heck, it had been building for quite some time — and even happened once before.
So, considering we all expected something to go down in Buccaneers-Saints, how did the officials not see an obvious missed punch?
The officiating crew is primed to make such calls, and even studies the tendencies of each team leading up to the game. Surely, they knew the backstory of said teams, which makes it all the more confusing that (once again) an attempt from Carlton Davis to harm Michael Thomas went unnoticed.

No, this wasn’t to the same effect as Evans and Lattimore. The fight did not spill into the sidelines, and Tom Brady wasn’t involved. It was an afterthought, especially given the violence witness in the same game.
But shouldn’t Davis be held to the same standard? Had he made contact, it could’ve reignited the previous conflict.
