6. Jack McGlynn (Philadelphia Union)

McGlynn has added something different to the Philadelphia Union midfield which has helped them sit on top of the Eastern Conference and be on course to challenge for the Supporters Shield.

McGlynn is another USMNT U20 player who was part of the team that won the CONCACAF U20 Championship earlier this year.

The left-footed midfielder has a fantastic ability to deliver set pieces and has been on the scoresheet from free kicks outside the box this season.

His movement is strong and covers the pitch well. He maintains possession securely while having the ability to switch play with accurate long passing which can unlock defenses.

McGlynn is used in the center of midfield — he is not the fastest sprinter but his judgment on when to make runs more than makes up for this. He intercepts well and arrives to join attacks impressively.

With the bonus of his set piece delivery he has proven to have a high potential for his career and being part of such a respected academy will no doubt ensure he is already being monitored by European sides.
