Clemson University and Wake Forest University had a tough game that went into double overtime, and Clemson just barely came out on top.

Clemson University and Wake Forest University had a tough game that led to double overtime, and several fans and officials found it a frustrating and emotional game to watch. The Tigers, who were a favorite to win coming into the game, have beat North Carolina every year since 2009.

Many predicted it would be a close game. According to Caesars Sportsbook (reported by CBS Sports), the Tigers were favored by 7.5 points. The Tigers have some great impact players, particularly running back Will Shipley.

Shipley is on a “record scoring” pace, according to CBS Sports. He’s made two rushing touchdowns in each of the Tigers first three games and is the first Clemson player since 1950 to score multiple touchdowns in each of the first three games. He’s also currently one of three players to do so this season. He’s undoubtedly a threat in NCAA, and he’s one of the key players for the Tigers this season.

Wake Forest also has some good players, particularly quarterback Sam Hartman. Hartman has been reliable since 2018 when he made his debut with North Carolina, and he earned Second Team All-ACC honors last season. Over his five seasons, he’s had a completion percentage of 57.9, 9,891 passing yards and 79 touchdowns.

Wide receiver A.T. Perry pairs up well with Hartman. He’s a huge playmaker with a career average of 17.5 yards per reception, 1,788 total yards and 18 touchdowns, 15 of which were last season.

Several good players make for a good game, and many viewers had a lot to say about the craziness that led to double overtime.
