In what was expected to be a blowout game, the Georgia Bulldogs were in a close contest against the Kent State Golden Flashes.
In Week 3, the top-ranked Georgia Bulldogs made easy work of the South Carolina Gamecocks. One week later, they were seemingly set to have an easy game against the Kent State Golden Flashes. On paper, it was expected to be a blowout that would help Georgia maintain their top position on the AP Top 25 rankings list.
Instead, the Bulldogs struggled in the first half against the Golden Flashes. At the end of the second quarter, Georgia entered their locker room with just a 26-13 lead thanks to a touchdown just before halftime.
To say Twitter did not take this well is an understatement

Kent State putting up a better outing against Georgia than South Carolina is hilarious.

Kent State has now scored as many points against Georgia (10) in the first half as Oregon and South Carolina scored combined in full games (Oregon 3, South Carolina 7) https://t.co/F1IhUMbYmw

Georgia can win by 40, and today is a massive loss inside those football offices.

Monday won’t be fun.
The game could not have gotten off to a better start for Georgia, as tight end Brock Bowers ran for a 75-yard touchdown. That would certainly set the tone, right?
Well, the Bulldogs had not turned over the ball on offense the entire season entering this contest. That all changed, as on their second drive, Stetson Bennett threw his first interception of the year. Two drives later, Bennett completed a short pass to Ladd McConkey, who then fumbled the ball, allowing Kent State to recover.
Bulldogs fans hope that the team can show why they are the best team in the nation with a better second half. If not, they will not hear the end of it from their rivals.
