NFL power rankings entering Week 4: How far did Bucs, Chiefs and Bills fall?
NFL Power Rankings: Week 4
The Purple Gang had their issues in their Monday night loss at Philadelphia and returned home to face the Lions. Kevin O’Connell’s club played turnover-free football. But the Vikings still trailed by 10 points after three quarters of play.
Dalvin Cook finished with 96 yards rushing and a score before leaving the game. But it was quarterback Kirk Cousins’ 28-yard touchdown strike to wideout K.J. Osborn with 28 seconds to play that completed the comeback.
With Sean McVay at the helm, the Rams have had their way with their NFC West rivals from the desert. And that dominance continued on Sunday despite a so-so effort from an offense that ran only 46 plays. But the defense limited Arizona to four field goals.
Cooper Kupp caught four passes for 44 yards but ran 20 yards for a touchdown. Under McVay and including last year’s playoff meeting, the Rams are now 11-1 in this series dating back to 2017.
The Chiefs had some extra time to prepare for the winless Colts as the team visited Indianapolis for the first time since 2016. Andy Reid’s team totaled a combined 71 points in their first two outings but the Kansas City offense seemed out of sorts for most of the afternoon.
Patrick Mahomes had 26 of the team’s disappointing 58 yards on the ground. The Chiefs’ defense sacked Matt Ryan five times but Reid’s club committed two costly turnovers.
