1. The Cowboys defense will pick Carson Wentz off three times

Wentz has done a decent job of avoiding turnovers this year for Washington, but it’s unreasonable to think he’s really changed his nature that much after just three games. He’s only thrown three interceptions on the year coming into this game, but Dallas’ defense is going to double that total in a single game.

The first step for the Cowboys will be utilizing their front seven to bring pressure against Wentz without needing to blitz players from the second level. Parsons, Ware, and the rest of Dallas’ front are going to enjoy a fruitful day working against Washington’s offensive front.

That means Wentz is going to need to run around and try to make plays outside the context of the conventional offense. That’s been a disaster for Wentz ever since things went south for him in Philadelphia. Combine that with the likelihood that Washington will need to throw to catch up on Sunday and it’s easy to envision a nightmare coming for Wentz.

Two of Wentz’s interceptions will be fairly routine in nature. He’ll try to fit the ball in tight windows down the field and the Cowboys will capitalize. Pressure will likely force him to try to do too much on the run.

The bonus here is that one of Wentz’s picks is going to end up being another viral moment on social media. It could even be the interception that effectively ends this game. The Cowboys’ secondary should be licking their lips heading into this game.
