Alabama linebacker Will Anderson Jr. explained how the “audacity” of the other team keeps him competitive.

The Alabama Crimson Tide may have the reigning Heisman Trophy winner on the roster in Bryce Young, but they also have potentially the first-overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft in linebacker Will Anderson Jr.

In his third year with the program, Anderson is continuing his torrid streak of giving the offensive line and quarterback nightmares.

Ahead of Alabama’s big game against the No. 20 Arkansas Razorbacks, Anderson was asked about whether he feels that he is “hateful on the field.” That is when Anderson dropped the quote that singlehandedly hyped the entire Crimson Tide fanbase.

Will Anderson drops epic quote when asked if he is ‘hateful’ on the field

“I tell people all the time that the audacity for the other people to even stop on the field is disrespectful to me,” said Anderson. “I tell people that all the time. And I think people ask me what motivates me, and I said ‘the audacity for the fans to show up and for the team to come up and step on the field.'”

Anderson dropped this epic quote with a smile on his face. If Alabama fans were not pumped up heading into Week 5, they should be now.

Last season, Anderson posted absurd numbers, tallying 101 total tackles, 31.5 tackles for loss, and 17.5 sacks in 15 games. Just four games into the 2022 season, Anderson has already shown to be as dominant as he was last season.

Anderson has recorded 20 total tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss, 4.5 sacks, and one interception returned for a touchdown.

The Crimson Tide are undefeated on the year and are coming off a 55-3 victory over the Vanderbilt Commodores. The Arkansas Razorbacks, meanwhile, are coming off a heartbreaking 23-21 loss to the Texas A&M Aggies after a game-winning field goal bounced off the top of the upright of the goal posts.

Alabama vs. Arkansas takes place on Saturday, Oct. 1, at 3:30 p.m. ET on CBS.
