Iowa fans know they are For The Brand, as they Cheer For The Punter during Michigan games.

Like Pat McAfee, the Iowa Hawkeyes are synonymous with punting.

McAfee may be For The Brand on ESPN’s College GameDay these days (How you doing? Keep it moving!), but the Hawkeyes might as well have every winner of the Ray Guy Award for the rest of time. Brian Ferentz has brought Big Ten offensive football back to the dark ages with shameless and undeniable nepotism to the umpteenth degree. He has wasted an elite defense this season.

It is okay to cheer for the punter in Iowa City, as the Imitation Pittsburgh Steelers are merely that.

Iowa is a great football team in two phases of the game, but not on offense

I mean, just look at what Nicole Auerbach of The Athletic found on her Twitter timeline. It is over-the-skis buffoonery of the highest level. Iowa went for it on fourth-and-2 inside the Michigan 10-yard line, completed a pass short of the sticks and then got flagged for an offensive pass interference call in the process. Yet, Ferentz will still have a job on Sunday because of his father…

Iowa may have won the Big Ten West a year ago, but this just ain’t good enough anymore. Going 10-2 every fourth year before getting your brains beat in with a baseball bat in Indianapolis would be a great collegiate run if you played at places like Illinois, Minnesota or Purdue, but this is Iowa! The Hawkeyes should be one of the best teams in the league year in and year out, but this stinks!

They gave the No. 4 Michigan team all it could handle defensively. This was a home game for the Hawkeyes, yet they are going to fall to 3-2 before the second week of October. This program needs a reboot in the worst way possible, so stop partying like it’s 1999 and hire a head coach who is interested in winning games than starting his benchwarmer son at shortstop, please!

The Kinnick Wave is cool, these I Cheer For The Punter shirts are awesome, but Ferentz is garbage.
