Texas A&M football fans must come to terms with the possibility that Jimbo Fisher may be starting to lose his grip.

Another Saturday, another tough loss for Jimbo Fisher and his overrated Texas A&M Aggies.

Things are not going well in College Station for the football program or its highly compensated head football coach. After losing an unthinkable one at home to Appalachian State three weeks ago, the Aggies suffered their second loss of the season, falling on the road to Mississippi State to the tune of 42-24.

They still have to play the likes of Alabama and Ole Miss this year. Good luck!

People are starting to tune out the fast-talking Fisher, as he is being revealed as a bit of a fraud.

Texas A&M football fans are starting to see the real Jimbo Fisher for what he is

We all know that Fisher can recruit with the best of them, but there is a reason why Texas A&M is not Alabama or Georgia on the gridiron. Although Fisher won prolifically at his previous stop at Florida State, the former quarterback whisperer is not really that anymore. It has been about a decade since he last coached Jameis Winston in Tallahassee. The development is no longer there.

Not only are his offensive players not really developing, but his pro-style scheme has not evolved in years either. When you watch Texas A&M play, you feel like the offense is never able to play fast enough, week in and week out. It is too complex for 18 to 23-year-olds. If you want proof of what it looks like when you make it simple, just look at how Mississippi State raids air for Mike Leach…

And no, it is not like Fisher just recently arrived in College Station. He has been there for years, never leaving a dollar on the table. Texas A&M has more financial resources than most of the best programs in the country, yet the Aggies have never been to Atlanta or been anything more than a mid-tier SEC team outside of that COVID year where they only suffered one regular-season loss.

Ultimately, people are running out of patience with Fisher. Expectations might be sky-high in College Station, but Fisher keeps on coming up painfully short. This was a season where people thought Texas A&M would push Alabama and Georgia in the SEC pantheon. Unfortunately, we are one day into October and the Aggies have been eliminated from any serious playoff conversations.

Yes, you can still buy whatever Fisher is selling, but the product does not live up to the sales pitch.
