Projected AP Top 25 college football rankings after Week 4: No. 8-7

8. Oklahoma State Cowboys

No team other undefeated team in college football had a more impressive victory this week than Oklahoma State.

Facing off with Baylor in a rematch of last year’s Big 12 title game, the Cowboys made a statement that they are the team to beat in the conference. They also got some revenge for last year’s loss which has got to feel good for Mike Gundy and his squad.

A kickoff return to start the second half put OSU up 23-3 and they kept the Bears at arm’s length until the final whistle.

Kansas and Kansas State will want to have their say but the Big 12 will almost certainly go through the Cowboys at this rate.

7. Tennessee Volunteers

The Volunteers were on a bye, so the only thing they had to worry about was whether the teams in front of them would suffer losses. No one did, so they will have to be content with staying put.
