5 best fantasy football matchups to exploit for Week 5
2. Chris Godwin, WR, Tampa Bay Buccaneers (vs. ATL)
Chris Godwin finally made his return from a hamstring injury and immediately resumed his high-volume role with the Bucs and Tom Brady. He caught 7-of-10 targets for 59 yards, but was outgained big time by Mike Evans.
The volume is encouraging for Godwin, as he resumes his role as Brady’s go-to target when under duress.
This week, Godwin gets a fantastic matchup against the Falcons’ burnable secondary. They’re 25th in passing yards allowed per game, and give up the fifth-most fantasy points to wide receivers.
The only threat to Godwin’s WR1 day could be a negative game script if the Bucs blow it open early. The Falcons have played competitively though, so Godwin will surely be needed in this one, where he should have a solid PPR day.
