NFL Week 6 2022: Picks and predictions for every game

It’s time to make our NFL Week 6 picks, and there are some of the year’s best games on the slate for Sunday afternoon and evening.

58. Thursday, Oct. 13. 2-3. CHI -1. 1-4. AMAZON. 57. 8:20 p.m. ET

Go see a movie. Grab dinner with a friend in a restaurant without televisions. Mow the lawn by moonlight. Anything.

Pick: Washington 20, Chicago 17

26. Sunday, Oct. 16. 4-1. 31. BAL -5. 1 p.m. ET. 3-2. CBS

Wink Martindale against Lamar Jackson. This is going to be fascinating stuff. Baltimore better be ready for every blitz imaginable.

Pick: Baltimore 23, New York 21

CBS. Sunday, Oct. 16. 15. CIN -2. 2-3. 56. 2-3. 1 p.m. ET

The Bengals are the better team, but it’s never easy playing in the Superdome. Of course, for Joe Burrow, the building has fond memories from his LSU days.

Pick: Cincinnati 30, New Orleans 22

2-3. 46. 1 p.m. ET. 52. CBS. Sunday, Oct. 16. 2-2-1. IND -2.5

This division should be put out to pasture. Just brutal football all the way around. That said, somehow, the Colts might eclipse .500.

Pick: Indianapolis 18, Jacksonville 16

59. 1 p.m. ET. 4-1. FOX. Sunday, Oct. 16. 3-2. MIN -3. 60

The Vikings are playing (pretty) good football, while the Dolphins are really beat up. Feels like a third straight loss for the Fins.

Pick: Minnesota 31, Miami 20

3-2. 30. FOX. 49. Sunday, Oct. 16. 3-2. GB -7. 1 p.m. ET

The Jets can absolutely win this game, largely because the Packers can absolutely find a way to lose this game. Still, it’s at Lambeau, and the Packers need it.

Pick: Green Bay 24, New York 20

47. CBS. 2-3. 53. CLE -3. 2-3. Sunday, Oct. 16. 1 p.m. ET

This is all about whether you believe Bill Belichick does enough to stymie Jacoby Brissett. I’m riding with Belichick here.

Pick: New England 21, Cleveland 19

42. 2-3. 1 p.m. ET. 3-2. FOX. Sunday, Oct. 16. 44. SF -5.5

Atlanta could be catching the Niners on a good week. San Francisco has to fly cross-country, with a beat-up defense, with the Chiefs on deck. Look for the 49ers to win late.

Pick: San Francisco 27, Atlanta 20

FOX. Sunday, Oct. 16. 55. TB -8. 1 p.m. ET. 3-2. 48. 1-4

Can the Steelers score a touchdown this week? If the Bucs struggle, it’s a sign of real problems.

Pick: Tampa Bay 24, Pittsburgh 12
