The Baltimore Ravens and San Francisco 49ers are among the NFL teams that should be on upset alert entering their Week 6 matchups.

The weather is getting cooler as the NFL season moves deeper into fall and teams put more tape out there to showcase how good they are. Preseason notions about the league’s best teams have been challenged by injuries and underperformance, creating a season filled with parity that has just one unbeaten team and none without a win after five weeks.

No one, outside of the Kansas City Chiefs and Buffalo Bills, is dominant enough to avoid falling victim to an upset like the Miami Dolphins and Los Angeles Chargers did last week. Let’s take a look at three more teams that could find themselves in danger of being upset in Week 6, beginning with the San Francisco 49ers.

3. NFL Teams That Should Be On Upset Alert In Week 6 – San Francisco 49ers

The 49ers took care of business last week, decimating the Carolina Panthers 37-15 in an effort that saw head coach Matt Rhule get fired on Monday. The win helped San Francisco improve to 3-2 on the year as they look to take advantage of sluggish starts from the Los Angeles Rams and Arizona Cardinals to seize control of the NFC West.

San Francisco continues its tour of the NFC South this week with a visit to Atlanta to take on the 2-3 Falcons and oddsmakers have established the 49ers as 5.5-point favorites in this game. The Falcons may not have as much talent as the 49ers but they are scrappy, with all five of their games coming down to one possession, including a home 21-15 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 5.

This is a potential trap game for the 49ers, who have a huge home showdown with the Chiefs looming in Week 7. Taking Atlanta lightly could lead to a bitter flight back home as the Falcons are more than capable of springing an upset this week.
