Countless football players have puked on the field before, but one Tennessee offensive lineman used it as intimidation against Alabama in an epic move.

Everything about the Tennessee upsetting Alabama was college football perfection. It doesn’t get any better than two titans of the season going blow-for-blow over 60 minutes and it all coming down to one field goal to determine the winner. That’s why Saturdays in the fall are the best days of every year.

The only thing that could make it better would be finding out that an offensive lineman puked on the field and used that as means to intimidate the opposition. Lucky for us, that’s exactly what happened in the case of the Vols O-line.

Senior lineman Jeremiah Crawford was shown on camera in the huddle at one point. He casually turned away from his teammates, vomited on the field, and then stared down the Alabama defense while nodding his head, letting them know that he was ready to rumble after that.

Tennessee OL puked to intimidate Alabama (and it might’ve worked)

That is certainly a tactic that we’ve not seen before but it proved to be mighty effective for Tennessee considering that the offense ended the game by putting up 52 points in the win over the Crimson Tide, the fourth-most points Bama has conceded since 1900.

But let’s be honest, if a big Kansas-bred and corn-fed man clocking in at 6-foot-5, 315 pounds looks directly at you with an intense nod indicating forthcoming physical warfare after he just projectile vomited, you’re probably not going to feel great about what’s going to happen when you have to tussle with that young man. So Crawford might be onto something.

For a game that got attention for just about everything, from the multitude of penalties, the monster performances from Hendon Hooker, Bryce Young, Jahmyr Gibbs and Jalin Hyatt, and even the goalposts being carried out of the stadium and all the way into the Tennessee River, we should still pay more attention and show more love to the puking for intimidation.

It’s a world-class move, so put some respect on it.
