The world premiere trailer for the highly anticipated film Creed III was released.

Earlier today, the highly anticipated trailer for the movie Creed III was released, which has been on the radar for quite some time amongst moviegoers and boxing fans. The film stars Michael B. Jordan, who makes his directorial debut along with Jonathan Majors and some familiar faces from the previous Creed films.

The Creed series is an extension of the famous Rocky films which starred Sylvester Stallone. Although Stallone starred in the first two installments of Creed, he felt his character had reached its peak, and Jordan was looking to take on the challenging task of directing a film.

The story of Creed III takes place years after his victory over Victor Drago as one of the scenes shows him his daughter, who looks to be past toddler age. A new character is introduced which is Damian, played by Jonathan Majors, and in the movie, a childhood friend of Adonis. Coming home from a lengthy prison bid, Damian looks to reconnect with Adonis but with the underlining intent of taking what he feels should be the life that Adonis is living.

Creed III is the latest installment of the Creed series highlighted by the directorial debut of Michael B. Jordan.

The trailer highlights pro fighter Jose Benavidez Jr., the brother of WBC interim super middleweight champion David Benavidez, and boxing’s biggest star, Saul “Canelo” Alvarez. Retired former champion Tony Bellew makes an appearance in the trailer. It looks as though he is reintroduced into the story after being the main villain in the original Creed film. In the presser leading up to the trailer’s release, Jordan felt that the Mexican culture significantly impacts the sport of boxing but hasn’t been introduced in that fashion on the big screen. So, he felt that was a missing element to the series, which looks to be a critical part of the storyline. Creed III hits theaters on March 3, 2023, and will be one of the most anticipated films in the year’s first quarter.
