Minnesota Vikings offensive lineman Oli Udoh was arrested during the team’s bye week after following a woman into the bathroom of a Miami nightclub.

It’s the Minnesota Vikings bye week, but the coaching staff and front office have some unfortunate work to do.

Rather than planning for the team’s next matchup in Week 8 against a suddenly resurgent Arizona Cardinals team, the Vikings are dealing with an off-field issue involving a player who was arrested on the other side of the country from Minnesota.

According to Andy Slater, Vikings offensive lineman Oli Udoh was arrested on Saturday in Miami and charged with disorderly conduct after following a woman into the bathroom of a nightclub and refusing to leave her alone.

He also allegedly resisted arrest.

“The NFL offensive lineman was talking to a woman in the bathroom line at a nightclub, followed her in, and then wouldn’t leave, sources tell me,” Slater reported. “Udoh got charged with disorderly conduct and resisting.“

Udoh is a backup offensive lineman for the Vikings, and it’s unclear what the arrest means for his future with the team.

Things have been going otherwise great for the Vikings this season. Despite the constant anxiety that having Kirk Cousins as your starting quarterback creates, Minnesota is 5-1 and feel truly in control of the NFC North for the first time since 2017. That year the usually dominant Green Bay Packers finished in third-place and the Jim Caldwell-led Detroit Lions were the only real challengers for the throne.

Neither the NFL nor the Minnesota Vikings have commented on the incident.
