Antonio Brown owes moving truck driver absurd amount of money for alleged attack

Former NFL wide receiver Antonio Brown has been ordered to pay a moving truck driver over $1 million for an alleged attack in 2020.

Antonio Brown is no longer a wide receiver in the NFL after he walked off the football field at MetLife Stadium shirtless in the middle of a Tampa Bay Buccaneers-New York Jets game. Even though he no longer plays in the league, he still garners attention, mostly for his inappropriate behavior in real life and on social media. There is now more news regarding Brown.

According to TMZ Sports, Brown has been ordered by the Broward County court to pay $1.2 million to a moving truck driver he allegedly attacked three years ago.

In the court documents, per TMZ Sports, Brown was found liable to Anton Tumanov for $407,000 to account for “past and future medical expenses” and $793,000 for “past and future pain and suffering.” Brown did not show up for the court case.

Brown pleaded no contest to the criminal charges of burglary and battery in June 2020, as part of a plea deal with the Broward County court, for the incident that took place earlier that year. He was ordered to serve two years probation, 100 hours of community service, attend a 13-week anger management program, and undergo a psychiatric evaluation.

Tumanov said in a lawsuit filed in 2021 that Brown had assaulted him after a dispute over payment for the services, claiming that the former wide receiver damaged his vehicle and struck him multiple times, causing “severe bodily injuries.”

Brown had not been in the NFL since the end of the 2021 season when he got into a sideline dispute with then-Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians. That caused him to take off his jersey and shoulder pads, as he did jumping jacks in the end zone at MetLife Stadium. He was waived after the incident and has not been signed by a team.

Three years after this incident, Brown has been ordered to pay over $1 million to the moving truck driver for what was initially a $4,000 bill.
