NBA play-by-play commentator Kevin Harlan jinxed Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry at the free-throw line.

The 2022-23 NBA season has just begun, and there was already a huge Western Conference matchup early in the schedule. The defending NBA champion Golden State Warriors were on the road to take on the Phoenix Suns.

In the second quarter, Warriors star Steph Curry stepped up to the free throw line for two shots. TNT play-by-play commentator Kevin Harlan brought up that he was perfect on all 22 free throw attempts this season. As soon as Harlan said that, Curry missed.

Harlan’s broadcast partners, Reggie Miller and Candace Parker, called him out for jinxing Curry.

Curry pointed over to the broadcast table with a smile on his face after the missed free throw. Then, Miller and Parker immediately pointed over to Harlan, putting the blame on him in a hilarious moment.

In terms of free throws, this was not the only miss that Curry had that night. He had another miss, going three-for-five on the night.

The Warriors ended up on the losing end on Tuesday night, falling 134-105.

Curry scored 21 points (7-for-17 from field), dished out eight assists, and grabbed seven rebounds in 30 minutes of playing time.

Meanwhile, Devin Booker shined for the Suns, recording 34 points (10-for-19 from field, 11-for-14 from free throw line), seven assists, three steals, and two rebounds.

Note to all NBA players who have been perfect on free throws this season — if Kevin Harlan is on the call, he may jinx you into recording your first miss. We kid, of course.
