Fantasy football waiver wire replacements for Ja’Marr Chase: 2. Rondale Moore, Arizona Cardinals

Moore had a light game in Week 7 against the New Orleans Saints, with one catch for 31 yards on two targets. But he played plenty again (58 or 59 snaps depending on the source, out of 65), and his deployment (not in the slot very much) was odd as DeAndre Hopkins came back from a suspension.

Over the two games prior to Week 7, Moore had 13 catches (for 117 yards) on 18 targets and he had 23 targets over the previous three games after returning from an injury. Off of Week 7, his fantasy ownership rate has fallen a fair chunk with a bye-week crunch a likely thing for those who dropped him.

In Week 8 Moore gets a solid matchup against the Minnesota Vikings. Against Minnesota last year, he had seven catches (on eight targets) for 114 yards with a touchdown. Beyond that, there aren’t any awful matchups on his schedule before a Week 13 bye, and as long as Hopkins is on the field Moore won’t draw matchups against the opposition’s top cornerback.

Moore is under the radar in fantasy circles, and coming off a down game. That means an opportunity to add him is here, before he quite possibly has a big game in Week 8.
