J.T. Tuimoloau’s god-mode game for Ohio State made college football history
Ohio State defensive lineman JT Tuimoloau put in a performance against Penn State that has never been matched in college football history.
If you didn’t know who JT Tuimoloau was before today, you either haven’t watched much Ohio State or didn’t follow recruiting in 2021.
The former five-star defensive lineman should be a household name now after an otherwordly performance against Penn State.
Tuimoloau had a ridiculous stat line of six tackles, three tackles for loss, two sacks, two interceptions, and a pass breakup that led to another interception. He returned one of his picks for a touchdown.

Tuimoloau set the tone for the defense from start to finish. He was the star of the show in the first quarter and the fourth.
Some have criticized him for not putting up impressive enough numbers. He put that criticism to bed with the most impressive overall performance from a defensive lineman all year.
It turns out he was already in god-mode in practice this week. His teammates revealed that he forced multiple interceptions on the practice field. He just carried that productivity into the game.
Zach Harrison said after the game that J.T. Tuimoloau had three interceptions in practice this week.

"When he got the first one, we were like ‘It happened in practice, it happens in games.’ Then he got the second one and scored and I was like, ‘Oh yeah, you got it, bro.’”
It was a good thing for Ohio State Tuimoloau turned up the way he did on Saturday. They needed something special to make sure they didn’t get burned by a Penn State upset bid.
The Buckeyes offense was once again sluggish early, giving the Nittany Lions an opportunity to make things uncomfortable. Penn State had a lead in the fourth quarter before Ohio State exploded with 28 points to close out the win. Seven of those were a special delivery from Tuimoloau on a pick-six.
