10 RB sleepers to target for fantasy football Week 8
Week 8 of the fantasy football season offers plenty of sleepers at the running back position. Check out this week’s list to find value at the position.
In fantasy football, the running back position is arguably the most important. If you can hit on sleepers, whether it’s in a regular league or daily fantasy lineups, it will increase your chances of having a successful week. In Week 8, there are some options that could overproduce their current value. Let’s get into it.
10 running back sleepers for fantasy football Week 8
10. Chase Edmonds, Miami Dolphins
Though Chase Edmonds has fallen way behind Raheem Mostert in the Dolphins running back rotation, he did see his second-highest carries of the season last week with seven. That’s not a high number, but the fact that the Dolphins were willing to play Edmonds more is a positive sign for his development.
The Dolphins get a dream offensive matchup this week with the Detroit Lions, who allow the second-most yards to running backs per game, and the second-most points per game to the position. The Dolphins may opt to shred the Lions through their run game this week, meaning Edmonds can see opportunities behind Mostert.
9. Tyler Allgeier, Atlanta Falcons
Tyler Allgeier has seen a sneaky amount of volume, having 10 plus carries in all but one game this season. The problem is that he’s been fairly inefficient, rushing for only 4.1 yards per attempt. He did score his first touchdown last week against Cincinnati.
The continued volume for Allgeier has been an encouraging development, and he continues to be the 1A in a committee involving Caleb Huntley. This week, the Falcons take on the Carolina Panthers’ defense that is very middle-of-the-pack. Allgeier is a decent option based on volume alone.
