ESPN College GameDay did not pick Baton Rouge for their Week 10 location, and for good reason.

As is the case every single week, the college football world awaits to see which campus will host ESPN’s College GameDay. For Week 9, the Saturday morning show took place at Jackson State. For Week 10, who would be the ideal location for the program?

When looking at the schedule, Baton Rouge appeared to be a good choice, as the No. 15 LSU Tigers took on the No. 6 Alabama Crimson Tide. But, there is an even larger game in the SEC that weekend.

On Sunday, the ESPN College GameDay Twitter account announced they were going to be live from the University of Georgia, as the No. 1 Bulldogs take on the No. 2 Tennessee Volunteers.

ESPN College GameDay chooses Georgia-Tennessee over LSU-Alabama for Week 10 location

Sorry LSU and Alabama, but this is an understandable choice. Both Georgia and Tennessee are undefeated on the year, and they will meet after the very first College Football Playoff rankings are revealed on Tuesday, Nov. 1.

The Bulldogs are coming off of a 42-20 win over the Florida Gators. They had a 28-3 lead at halftime, but watched as Florida pulled the score to 28-20. But Georgia ultimately pulled away late.

Meanwhile, the Volunteers had a convincing 44-6 victory over the Kentucky Wildcats. Quarterback Hendon Hooker accounted for four of Tennessee’s touchdowns in the win, and increased his stock as a Heisman Trophy favorite.

Meanwhile, Alabama will have to win out the remainder of the regular season to make it to the SEC Championship Game. LSU has the chance to play spoilers, much like they did in Week 8 when they handed Ole Miss their first loss of the season.
