Brandin Cooks and 2 most surprising players who weren’t moved at NFL trade deadline
The most surprising players not to be dealt at NFL trade deadline: 2. Kareem Hunt
Kareem Hunt is another player who fans were surprised to see not moved. The Cleveland Browns were shopping him at the deadline, and their asking price for him was only a fourth-round pick.
With that, after McCaffrey was traded, Hunt became the top running back on the market, considering Alvin Kamara was never really available. Teams who need to improve their running game chose to pass on Hunt, even though he could have been had for a relatively cheap price. Shocking, but alas, nothing came to fruition.
It is going to be intriguing to see what the Browns end up doing with Hunt from here. The 27-year-old was the subject of trade speculation since this past offseason, but he has still yet to be moved. There’s no question that the talent is there, so one has to assume that somebody will end up making a push for him this upcoming offseason. Until then, he remains a Brown.
In eight games this season, Hunt has three touchdowns and 305 rushing yards on 77 rushes. Overall, it has been a pretty solid year for the six-year veteran, but let’s see how he performs for the rest of the season after not being moved.
