Georgia rolled Tennessee, LSU knocked off Alabama, Clemson got destroyed by Notre Dame and now the Week 11 College Football Playoff rankings are shaken up.

Many times, there are ultra-hyped matchups during given weeks of college football that ultimately fail to live up to expectations. We’ve seen that before even earlier this season. But with the hype surrounding Week 10, the week after the first College Football Playoff rankings were released, everything was even better than we could’ve expected.

Even though they were favored, Georgia pulled off a dominant win that felt like an upset over the No. 1-ranked team, Tennessee. Then, another SEC clash brought about the second fall of Alabama with LSU notching the upset in Death Valley. And let’s not forget Clemson laying an egg at the hands of a new-life Notre Dame team and much, much more.

All told, nine ranked teams lost on Saturday in Week 10, including two that were ranked in the Top 4 of the initial CFP rankings. So what will the new College Football Playoff rankings look like next week? Let’s take a look.

Projected College Football Playoff rankings after Week 10: No. 25-21

25. Washington Huskies

After surviving some nasty home-field weather on Friday night to outlast previously No. 23-ranked Oregon State, Washington seems to have its season back on track behind Michael Penix Jr. in this explosive offense. Now we get to see if the Huskies can cause real chaos as they visit Autzen Stadium to face Oregon next week.

24. Cincinnati Bearcats

It’s worth reiterating that this year’s Cincinnati team is a far cry from what they have been. But with so many teams around the country losing and then the Bearcats moved to 7-2 on the season with a pretty convincing (though unspectacular) win over Navy, it’s hard not to have Luke Fickell’s team at the back end of the Top 25 again.

23. Liberty Flames

In all likelihood, the reason Liberty didn’t make it into the first CFP rankings despite being 7-1 after last week was due to the fact that the Flames have played a Charmin-soft schedule. But now that Hugh Freeze’s bunch went on the road the Fayetteville and took down Arkansas while playing with several key backups on the field, Liberty earned some respect from the selection committee.

22. Florida State Seminoles

We can definitely say that any win over Miami at this point isn’t a quality win, but the way that Florida State got the win was highly impressive. Winning 45-3 is a statement from the Seminoles, a team with three losses but with all three defeats coming against teams ranked in the first Playoff rankings, Mike Norvell’s group deserves to be in the Top 25.

21. Notre Dame Fighting Irish

It’s hard to believe that we’re at this place, but it feels like Notre Dame has to be ranked at this point, even with the fact that Marcus Freeman has lost to Stanford and Marshall this season. But after knocking off Clemson in a blowout coupled with the win over Syracuse, the Fighting Irish look like they could very well be one of the 25 best teams in college football right now.
