4. RB Jeff Wilson Jr., Miami Dolphins

Rostered: 44.6%

On November 1, the San Francisco 49ers traded Jeff Wilson Jr. to the Miami Dolphins for a 2023 fifth-round pick. Wilson actually requested the trade.

“It was something that I asked (for),” Wilson said via The Phinsider. “There’s a lot of love over there, so they understand. They understand the situation, so they knew where I was at and where I was trying to go. So it was a (mutual) agreement thing.”

The Dolphins sent Chase Edmonds to the Denver Broncos, as part of the Bradley Chubb deal. So, Wilson gave them another playmaker in the backfield.

In his Dolphins’ debut, Wilson had more touches (12) than Raheem Mostert (9). Wilson had a solid all-around game. He rushed for 51 yards and had three receptions for 21 yards and a touchdown.

Earlier this season, Wilson was productive as the lead back in San Francisco. From Weeks 2 to 5, he posted 57.5 total fantasy points, which was 15th among running backs during that span.

It appears that Wilson will split touches with Mostert moving forward. He has appeal as a FLEX option.
