Apparently, Munich, Germany, loves the Seattle Seahawks and the career resurgence of Geno Smith.

Thanks to Reddit, you’ll find some of the most ridiculous hidden gems. As the NFL season has officially reached its tenth week, the Seattle Seahawks have quietly become one of the league’s most underrated teams. Long gone are the glory years of the vaunted “Legion of Boom” defense, Marshawn Lynch and Russell Wilson. In comes the emergence of ex-Michigan State running back, Kenneth Walker, along with longtime veteran quarterback, Geno Smith.

While Smith isn’t the NFL’s sexiest name as compared to Lamar Jackson, Tom Brady, or Aaron Rodgers, for example, he has captured the attention of people in……..Munich, Germany, of all places.

If you had that one on your 2022 NFL bingo card, you’re lying.

However, it makes sense considering that the NFL’s Germany push begins Sunday morning when the Seahawks and Tampa Bay Buccaneers will face each other in a critical NFC intraconference game with wildcard implications potentially at stake.

The Seahawks will look to stay in the NFC West divisional race, while the Buccaneers, who have underperformed nearly all season, will look to move back to .500 in a crowded NFC South that sees both the Buccaneers and Atlanta Falcons at 4-5, while the New Orleans Saints are teetering right behind at 3-6.

Reddit reacts to Geno Smith mural

At press time, Reddit has gone berserk over this mural of Smith. 145 comments and counting have seen the community with mixed reactions. One Redditor commented, “Looks like the Olympic tower in Munich what a crazy ride for Geno Smith,” while another chimed in and said, “Not only that, but according to the German Twitter fans, the stadium is going to be mostly full of Seahawks fans. Can’t wait to watch the game, not too excited about getting up at 6:30 a.m. on a Sunday though lol.”

Regardless of one’s opinion on Smith’s career, it’s safe to reiterate that he has become a hot commodity across the world.
