Texas Longhorns fans are undeniably a different breed and perhaps nothing exemplifies that better than spending an anniversary at College GameDay.

Few fan bases in college football deliver the unbridled passion that we see from the Texas Longhorns faithful. Particularly when they’re in Austin — and especially so when College GameDay is in town — we see just how dedicated these fans are.

But that might’ve gotten taken to a new level on Saturday morning with ESPN having GameDay in town for a huge matchup against undefeated TCU in Week 11.

We’ve seen plenty of romances or similar things happen at GameDay before, but one pair of fans took it to a new level according to their sign. Rather than getting an expensive gift for the couple’s 10th anniversary, they used that money to head to GameDay and then, presumably, to go see the huge Big 12 matchup between their Longhorns and the Hypnotoads.

Texas football fans choose College GameDay to celebrate 10th anniversary

The next-level dedication here should be applauded.

It would’ve been perfectly reasonable for a couple of Texas fans to spend the day doing more traditionally romantic things before a 6:30 p.m. local time kickoff for this game. That would make sense. Instead, these two showed up at the crack of dawn to start supporting the Longhorns and assumedly aren’t stopping until the middle of the night — if even then.

At the same time, though, what better example of “through thick and thin” is there than being a Texas fan? This team has put them through hell and back over the years with the endless teases of being BACK.

For the sake of this couple, though, let’s hope that Quinn Ewers and Bijan Robinson can deliver them an anniversary present to remember by taking down the No. 4 team in the country on Saturday night.
