87. . 3-7. Previous: . Carolina Panthers. 28. team

The Panthers hosted the Falcons on Thursday night as the clubs met for the second time in three weeks. The rainy weather was certainly a factor as Steve Wilks’ team ran the ball 24 times for 128 yards in the first half and owned a 13-3 lead after two quarters.

Led by D’Onta Foreman (130), Carolina finished with 232 yards rushing by night’s end. And it’s worth noting that all three of the Panthers’ win this season have come at home vs. their NFC South rivals.

Off a short week, the Saints were in the Steel City for the first time since 2014. Quarterback Andy Dalton has certainly had his issues with Mike Tomlin’s team and Sunday was no different. He threw for only 174 yards and one score but was sacked twice, fumbled twice (none lost) and threw two interceptions.

Defensively, Dennis Allen’s club was gouged for 217 yards on the ground. The Saints came up with six sacks but failed to force a turnover.

Previous: . Denver Broncos. 26. team. 45. . 3-6

The Broncos had an extra week to prepare for the league’s top rusher in Derrick Henry. And the Denver defense came up with a big effort as they limited Tennessee to 63 yards on the ground on 23 attempts.

But they also gave up a few big plays through the air as the pass rush didn’t get much heat on Ryan Tannehill. Meanwhile, Russell Wilson was sacked six times. The Broncos have been limited to 16 points or less in seven of their nine games.

Mike Tomlin’s club was off a week ago and hosted the Saints. The Steelers opened up a 10-0 lead but the Saints tied the score by halftime. The defense, buoyed by the return of T.J. Watt, pitched a shutout in the second half.

On offense, there were season highs in total yards (379) and rushing yards (217) – 99 yards by Najee Harris. Rookie Kenny Pickett was sacked six times but threw for 199 yards and ran for 51 yards and a score in the 10-point victory.
