Oklahoma Sooners fans were in a great mood after the team took a commanding lead over the Oklahoma State Cowboys in the first half.
The Oklahoma Sooners have had far from the ideal season, highlighted by devastating losses to the TCU Horned Frogs and Texas Longhorns. But, they had the chance to defeat one of their most hated rivals in the Oklahoma State Cowboys in the latest edition of the Bedlam Series.
Well, the Sooners got off to a tremendous start, as they took a commanding 28-0 lead at the end of the first quarter!
Let’s just say that Sooners fans were very happy at the early lead against the Cowboys.

Oklahoma got on the scoreboard on their very first drive of the game, utilizing just six plays, with the latter being a two-yard touchdown run by quarterback Dillon Gabriel. The Sooners got on the board on their second drive, with Gabriel connecting with Jalil Farooq on a 30-yard touchdown pass.
The Sooners capitalized on a mistake from Cowboys quarterback Spencer Sanders, whose throw was intercepted by Jonah Laulu and returned for 26-yards. On Oklahoma State’s own 4-yard line, the Sooners needed just two plays to hit pay dirt, with Eric Gray running for a two-yard touchdown to extend their lead to 21-0.
Then, just prior to the end of the first quarter, Gabriel threw a 23-yard touchdown pass to Drake Stoops to extend the lead to 28-0.
The Sooners got off to an early lead. Now let’s see if they can maintain it in the second half.
