The Buffalo Bills were impacted by a crazy snowstorm over the weekend, and players had to persevere through an escape to face the Cleveland Browns.

The city of Buffalo, New York was hit with a huge snowstorm over the weekend with more than six feet of snow recorded in some areas. Of course, that’s not so easy for Bills players to escape as they had to evacuate the city and fly to Detroit to face the Cleveland Browns in Week 11, but fans can watch the experience firsthand through documentation the Bills posted on their YouTube channel.

Coaches were shown trekking through the snow in snowshoes, players were picked up by designated drivers in trucks equipped to handle the harsh conditions and many gave both negative and humorous reactions to the snow.

While some laughed off the situation and claimed they “had fun playing in the snow,” others were very clearly over it, rolling their eyes and explaining the appreciated help from neighbors. Bills Mafia was particularly helpful in their efforts as they helped shovel out some of the players. The community truly came together in a time of need as the players began their journey to Detroit.

Buffalo Bills snowstorm struggles brought the community together

One thing is certain: The Bills community has each other’s backs when needed. Bills Mafia shoveled and plowed out several players and staff was on-call to pick up players as needed. Most notably, head coach Sean McDermott also picked up Von Miller and Sam Martin, general manager Brandon Beane picked up coaches and other members of the team pitched in to help the efforts.

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, Doug Majeski from college scouting also picked up Jordan Phillips and Matt Hunter from stadium ops plowed Josh Allen’s driveway. There were selfless acts of kindness all around from the community, and it’s incredible to see just how much everyone will drop anything to support the players.

The Bills are now set to host the Browns in Detroit for Week 11, thanks to the swift help of the community.
