10 RB sleepers to target for fantasy football Week 12
2. Samaje Perine, Cincinnati Bengals
With Joe Mixon missing Friday’s practice, he looks highly unlikely to suit up in Sunday’s matchup with the Tennessee Titans. This sets up Samaje Perine to take the Lions’ share of the running back work in Week 12. We saw what he could do with that volume last week, scoring three total touchdowns and finishing as the overall RB2.
The Titans have had a stout run defense this year, but it will be hard to ignore the volume for Perine and the potentially massive upside he has. If you had Mixon, or picked him up to block someone else in your league, he is a must start in all formats.
1. Rachaad White, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Rachaad White had his much-anticipated breakout game in Week 10, rushing 22 times for 105 yards while Leonard Fournette was on the sidelines with a hip injury. That same hip injury has affected Fournette in practice this week, and he will likely be limited if he plays in Week 12.
Meanwhile, White has been chomping at the bit for more work all season, and this may be the week where he operates as the true lead back regardless of Fournette’s status. If you have White and you’re in need of upside at the running back position, White is a must-start.
