Josh Jacobs ran for an 86-yard touchdown to lift the Las Vegas Raiders over the Seattle Seahawks. Social media was stunned and had a lot to say.

God, we wish Gus Johnson was on the call for Josh Jacobs’ game-winning touchdown run for the Las Vegas Raiders over the Seattle Seahawks.

The 86-yard scamper in overtime allowed Sin City’s Silver and Black warriors to escape the birds of the Emerald City with a 40-34 victory. Naturally, social media had much to say about the run that took the Twitterverse by storm.

Josh Jacobs’ 86-yard run in overtime gave the Las Vegas Raiders a much-needed victory and the Twitterverse an explosion.

The back-and-forth contest between Seattle and Las Vegas was certainly one to remember, as Derek Carr went through a lot during the game, going 25-for-36 for 295 yards with three touchdown passes and two interceptions. The day, however, belonged to Jacobs with his 229 yards on the ground and two scores, including the clincher.

On the other side, while doing his best Tommy Maddox comeback season impersonation, Geno Smith threw for 328 yards and two scores with one pick. Smith played as well as he could, but the lack of a ground game hurt Seattle and forced all the pressure on the quarterback. Geno responded well, but could not close the deal.

It’s a shame for Seattle, but they still have a strong enough team to work with. And with Arizona and the defending champion Rams losing, it’s possible that the Seahawks are still in the mix with the 49ers for the division title, or possibly a wild-card berth if the odds fall in their favor as the season winds down.

For now, the Raiders are the ones that can enjoy the celebration a bit as they scored on a big walk-off play that is sure to be remembered for quite some time despite the rough season the franchise has had this year.
