1. Best fantasy football pickups for Week 13: WR Chase Claypool, Chicago Bears

Rostered: 58.7%

Darnell Mooney exited Sunday’s game against the Jets. According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Mooney will likely need season-ending surgery to repair torn ligaments.

This season, Mooney leads the Bears in targets (61), receptions (40), and receiving yards (493). So, his absence will have a profound impact on their offense. With Mooney sidelined, Claypool should see an increase in targets. Since being traded to the Bears, he has clearly been the second wide receiver on their depth chart. In four games, Claypool has been targeted 16 times, while Equanimeous St. Brown, Dante Pettis, and Byron Pringle have been targeted a combined 14 times.

Prior to the trade, Claypool was putting some nice numbers with the Steelers. He produced double-digit fantasy points in three out of his final four games, including a 23.4-point performance in Week 6 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Justin Fields is questionable this week against the Green Bay Packers. A potential Fields return would further boost Claypool’s value.

Claypool has a sky-high ceiling down the stretch.
