No. 1 Georgia looks to secure the top spot in the College Football Playoff with an SEC Championship Game victory over massive underdog No. 14 LSU in Atlanta.

After how last year’s SEC Championship Game went for Georgia, look for Kirby Smart and his team to leave no doubt on the Mercedes-Benz Stadium turf vs. LSU on Saturday.

While the defending national champions have not lost a game in a year, their most recent defeat came in a stadium they know all too well. Georgia got blown out by perpetual nemesis Alabama nearly a year ago to the day in this same particular title bout. The only difference is the Dawgs are going up against a less formidable competitor in a feisty three-loss LSU team led by Brian Kelly.

Here is 100 percent what will happen when the Dawgs take on the Bayou Bengals in Atlanta.

LSU vs. Georgia: 3 bold predictions for SEC Championship

3. The crowd is absolutely going to factor heavily in Georgia’s favor

Kelly may have a family, but he is in for a rude awakening. He still pronounces the two T’s in Atlanta, which sounds like a recipe for disaster vs. the best team his squad will play all year.

Although the Georgia offense is not as explosive as the Tennessee attack that rendered LSU useless at home earlier in the season, the defense is menacing. Plus, the crowd will be a factor.

While LSU fans travel well, this is a de facto home game for Georgia. It may not be as loud as it was during the Chick-fil-A Kickoff vs. Oregon over Labor Day Weekend, or be a 75-percent Georgia crowd like the national championship was vs. Alabama up in Indianapolis. However, this game will have the feel of when Kelly’s former team made the trek down to Sanford Stadium back in 2019.

It is technically a neutral-site affair, but the de facto home crowd will be a big Georgia advantage.
