A pair of New York Jets’ players and a re-emerging wide receiver for the Detroit Lions highlight the top fantasy football pickups for Week 14.

It all comes down to Week 14 for fantasy football players who are still in the playoff hunt. The fantasy regular season for most leagues concludes after next week, so winning is the only option available for owners looking to wrap up their playoff spot and avoiding the consolation bracket.

Week 14 is more complicated since six teams are slated to go on bye, including the Chicago Bears (who take Justin Fields with them), the Indianapolis Colts (Jonathan Taylor), Green Bay Packers (Aaron Jones, Christian Watson) and Washington Commanders (Terry McLaurin). For help with filling those holes, along with whatever other needs your team may have, check out the top five pickups of the week. All rostered percentages referenced are based on Yahoo! leagues.

It wasn’t a banner day for the Titans’ defense on Sunday as they got gashed by the Philadelphia Eagles in a 35-10 rout at Lincoln Financial Field. The good thing for fantasy purposes is that defenses are largely week-to-week based on matchups and Tennessee has a very favorable matchup on tap for Week 14.

The Titans welcome in the 4-8 Jacksonville Jaguars in a prime get-right spot for a proud defense that was embarrassed by the Eagles. Any momentum the Jaguars had from their comeback win over the Baltimore Ravens in Week 13 is gone after Jacksonville was smoked by Detroit, losing 40-14 in an anemic offensive display.

Owners in need of a defensive streamer for Week 14 should go grab the Titans, who are rostered in 31 percent of leagues, since they could easily rack up double digit fantasy points by virtue of sacks and turnovers. While offense wins championships in the fantasy game, getting the right defense in your lineup could be the difference between a win and a loss in a critical week.
