2022 NFL power rankings, Week 14: 49ers roll, Colts flop
The Steelers were on the road for the second time in seven days as they took on the unpredictable Falcons. Pittsburgh’s rejuvenated ground game continued to thrive and was a big reason Mike Tomlin’s team built a 19-6 third-quarter lead.
Atlanta got within three points but Minkah Fitzpatrick sealed the deal with a late interception. No team has won more regular-season games since the 1970 merger and this was victory No. 500 over that span.
The Packers were in position to sweep the Bears for the fourth straight year. Matt LaFleur’s club dug itself a 16-3 second-quarter hole. Green Bay got a big outing from A.J. Dillon, who finished with 93 of the team’s 175 yards on the ground.
It was another big game for rookie Christian Watson, who scored on a 14-yard TD pass just before halftime and ran for 46 yards for a score in the fourth quarter. It was win No. 787 for the Packers, an NFL record.
Winner of their last two games after a 2-7 start, the Raiders looked to avenge a Week 1 loss to the Chargers. The day got off to a rough start for quarterback Derek Carr, who threw a pick-six in the first quarter.
Down 13-10 at halftime, Josh McDaniels’ team got a pair of Davante Adams TD receptions (31 and 45 yards) to take a 24-13 lead that Las Vegas would not relinquish. Chandler Jones finally came up big with three of the Raiders’ five sacks.
