New York Yankees manager Aaron Boone spoke on the Aaron Judge frenzy that arose on Tuesday, but his update wasn’t helpful at all.

When Jon Heyman of the New York Post Tweeted that Aaron Judge (he actually Tweeted ‘Arson’ Judge by mistake) was going to the San Francisco Giants, MLB fans went into a frenzy before he further shared that information wasn’t true.

The Yankees now have some cleaning up to do as many are rightfully wondering whether or not Judge is a Giant now, and Yankees manager Aaron Boone unfortunately wasn’t able to provide any answers.

Boone shared that when he called Brian Cashman to ask what was going on, Cashman told him, “Nothing.”

That’s about as much as everyone knows at this point.

For now, Judge is still a free agent, able to go wherever he wants to go. He could easily end up in New York again, and he’s also likely to end up in San Francisco.

There’s no clear direction as to where Aaron Judge will end up…yet

Judge has had some confirmed visits to San Francisco, and the Yankees have also reportedly offered him a massive eight-year contract worth $300 million.

Both teams seem to be equally likely to land the star, it’ll just depend on who makes the more enticing offer. On one hand, Judge has ties to the Bay area as he was born in Sacramento, California and grew up in Linden. He was a Giants fan as a kid, which certainly makes their interest pretty special.

On the other hand, he’s already accomplished a lot with New York and they have the money to throw in for him as they’re the wealthiest team in the league. The Giants, however, did reportedly offer him around $360 million (per Heyman), and they have mentioned that they won’t be outbid, so they are ready to spend.

Of course, there’s always the possibility of another team coming out of nowhere and snagging him. However, the likeliest contenders seem to be the Yankees and the Giants. Unfortunately, nobody knows where he’ll end up yet, and Boone is just as clueless as the rest of us.
