Bryan Reynolds trade rumors

At first base, what about adding Trey Mancini? He was slashing .268/.347/.404 in Baltimore before being sent to Houston where he never seemed to find his footing. Perhaps a new start in the NL could revert him back to the form he showed with the Orioles. He’s also shown some versatility with some time in the outfield as well.

How about really reaching with this lineup and having the Giants make a big trade with the Pittsburgh Pirates for Bryan Reynolds? Sure, the asking price is reportedly off the charts, but adding Reynolds to the lineup would settle in the left field position (somewhere that Reynolds has played in the past).

In this dream lineup, we’re also going to dream that Joey Bart finally blossoms into the catcher that Giants fans hoped he would be when Buster Posey announced his retirement.

So what would that new-look lineup feature?

Brandon Crawford, 3B

Bryan Reynolds, LF

Carlos Correa, SS

Joc Pederson, DH

Mitch Haniger, RF

Trey Mancini, 1B

Thairo Estrada, 2B

Mike Yastrzemski, CF

Joey Bart, C

It would certainly be an improvement, but would it be enough to contend in the NL West and beyond? In what is sure to be a dogfight at the top of a top-heavy division, it’s very possible.

Next. Carlos Correa’s mega-contract has 3 winners and 1 clear loser. dark
