Who the Vikings should be most worried about in Super Bowl pursuit: The Detroit Lions

Finally, the Detroit Lions may not be the type of threat you would put at the top of a list like this. However, it’s the teams with not much to lose that you’ve got to watch out for.

Here’s the deal. The Lions have never been that scary powerhouse of a team. But, they have slowly been figuring it out over the past month and a half.

Offensively, the Lions have a ton of firepower. Amon-Ra St. Brown is one of the best route runners and technically-sound receivers in the game. They just got Jameson Williams back, who should only continue playing more. Between D’Andre Swift and Jamaal Williams, the Lions have plenty to pack a punch in the run game.

Detroit has won five of six — including last week against these same Vikings — and has scored 161 points in those six games, altogether. Jared Goff is proving to be more than what Lions fans thought they were getting, and Detroit has simply done enough to win games.

There is no scarier team than an underdog with nothing to lose but another game, and that’s exactly what Detroit is.

How AFC and NFC contenders can clinch this week. dark. Next
