6. Jerick McKinnon, Kansas City Chiefs

Jerick McKinnon has become a mainstay of these running-back sleeper articles. It’s because of games like last week (6-22 rushing, 7-112-2 receiving) that keep him in the conversation weekly. He plays at least half of the snaps for Kansas City and is their main passing-down option.

The Chiefs have what should be a breezy matchup in Week 15 against the Houston Texans, so there’s a risk that McKinnon’s services will not be needed. However, it’s the Chiefs and they prefer not to run the ball, which keeps McKinnon relevant weekly.

5. James Cook, Buffalo Bills

James Cook flopped in a big way in Week 14. After rushing 14 times for 64 yards in Week 13, the Bills rookie touched the ball just five times for a combined 15 yards. However, the Bills still obviously view him as an important piece on the team in both the short and long term.

With Saturday’s game possibly being a whiteout, there may be a lot of old-school, running-the-football offense being run by both teams. If Cook can regain some of the momentum he had two weeks ago, he can be an interesting asset in daily fantasy lineups.
