2. Cam Akers, Los Angeles Rams

Cam Akers has appeared to have re-seized the Los Angeles backfield. In the last two games, he’s gone 17-60-2 and 12-42-1 respectively. For a player who was done with the team a few months ago, Akers looks to have regained his footing and is playing solid football.

Akers gets a solid matchup against the Green Bay Packers’ 30th-ranked run defense. If he remains the lead back and gets the lion’s share of the carries, he has a good chance to have a solid week and is a fringe starter for playoff teams.

1. Zonovan Knight, New York Jets

The New York Jets are loaded at running back in the future. They could head into next season with Breece Hall, Michael Carter, Zonovan Knight, and James Robinson (RFA). Knight has been an absolute stud over the last few weeks, having three-straight top-25 fantasy finishes.

Knight has been a revelation for both the Jets and fantasy managers, who may have gotten into the playoffs due to Knight’s emergence. The Lions’ run defense has been bad all year, making this a great matchup for Knight. He’s pushing RB1 status this week and for the rest of the year.
