2. Alec Burks
Burks was having a strong season for the Knicks averaging 11.7 points, nearly 5 boards, 3 dimes, a steal and a hair under 2 triples before being traded to the Detroit Pistons. He’s continued to provide reliable scoring for the Pistons averaging an improved 13.8 points per game including a 27-point game on Dec. 14 with 3 boards, 3 dimes, a block and 4 3-pointers.
At 31 years old Burks could certainly be a veteran staple for the Pistons providing mentorship to the youth movement. However, Burks represents an ideal addition to any contending team looking for a veteran, scoring punch and appears to be a potential sell-high opportunity for Detroit. Having played for seven different teams Burks is no stranger to change and could be on the move soon.
