The Pittsburgh Steelers are in real jeopardy of putting up their first under-.500 season in almost 20 years. It’s mostly because a few players didn’t get the push they deserved.

It’s been a rough season for the Pittsburgh Steelers. They have a rookie quarterback who ended up getting injured. Their team has some insane talent, but it’s just not all coming together. Something is off. They are fourth from the bottom of the league in total touchdowns.

Despite a good offensive line and talent at all positions, the offense hasn’t clicked. This led to one of the worst-scoring teams in the league, under 18 points per game.

The Steelers have the Ravens, Browns, and Raiders left on the schedule. They need to win all three games just to get over .500, and the playoffs are basically out of the question.

The Steelers are playing for pride, and they need to get their stars going. They didn’t do right by their stars this season. This is probably as close to a rebuilding year as the Steelers will get, but for now, they can find solace in knowing their stars can do even better when put in the right situation.

1. Najee Harris – Running Back

This was supposed to be the breakout year for Najee Harris. He’s in his sophomore season after a relatively decent rookie year. He rushed for 1,200 yards and seven touchdowns along with 463 receiving yards and three additional touchdowns. This season, Harris has 790 yards rushing and 190 yards receiving. The Steelers have 14 rushing touchdowns this season. Only six are from Harris.

The Steelers haven’t treated Harris like their bell-cow star. He’s never broken 100 yards rushing in a game this season after doing that three times last season. Harris was disastrous in the Steelers playoff game last season, and head coach Mike Tomlin might have lost faith in his running back.

It’s not like Harris is making major mistakes, he’s only lost one fumble this season. It’s not all on the Steelers. Harris has one play over 20 yards this season. This hasn’t been his year, but the Steelers needed to do a better job opening holes for Harris, but he has to do a better job of finding them.
