Just ask what’s left of this poor orange how strong of a right arm Joe Milton has for Tennessee.

With Hendon Hooker’s Tennessee career in the books, it is The Joe Milton Show … at least during the Orange Bowl.

The former Michigan quarterback will have a fantastic opportunity to show everyone and their brother what he’s got in the Vols’ New Year’s Six bowl matchup vs. the ACC champion Clemson Tigers. With former Clemson starter D.J. Uiagalelei in the transfer portal, it will be Milton vs. true freshman Cade Klubnik for all the

oranges. Will the juice be worth the squeeze, though?

Anywho, here is Milton throwing an orange some 100 yards, well, because it’s bowl season, baby!

Orange you glad to see Joe Milton quarterback Tennessee not in the Citrus Bowl?

While the Head Ball Coach Steve Spurrier once famously told us that you cannot spell Citrus without UT, what if I told you nothing rhymes with orange? As you ponder all the words you know from the English dictionary, orange you glad that this is about to be the orangest Orange Bowl ever?! From Clemson to Rocky Top to Miami, it is going to be more orange than The Home Depot!

Even though this is not the bowl Clemson and Tennessee were aiming for at the start of the season, what an opportunity it is for Klubnik and Milton to get ready to get ready for next year! Klubnik should be the unquestioned starter in Clemson, while Milton may have what it takes to hold five-star freshman Nico Iamaleava at bay. For now, this is Milton’s Vols team he is leading.

Ultimately, how these two quarterbacks play in the bowl game next weekend will give us so many offseason storylines to thoroughly dissect. Should either of these guys ball out, no doubt about it, Clemson and/or Tennessee will definitely be making the College Football Playoff next year. And if not, well, at least we got to see Milton throw an orange some 100 yards in the lead-up to it then.

The talent has always been there with Milton, but it has always been about putting it all together.
